PAYING PROPERTY TAXES:

You may drop off your payment at City Hall or mail payment to: City of Waterloo, 136 N. Monroe Street, Waterloo, WI 53594.  If you pay by mail and would like a receipt, enclose a self addressed stamped envelope.  Office hours to deliver payment are 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday.  Please note the upcoming holiday hours:

TAX REFUND PAYMENT POLICY:

Tax overpayment checks for the excess of the amount escrowed by a taxpayer and paid to the City of Waterloo by December 31st will be issued within 15 business days of the date the excess amount was received by the City.

LOTTERY AND GAMING CREDIT:

If you owned and used your property as your primary residence as of January 1, 2007, you are eligible for the 2007 lottery and gaming credit.  If you meet the requirements your 2007 property tax bill will show a reduction of $95.39.  If you meet the requirements and your 2007 property tax bill does not indicate a lottery and gaming credit, please contact the Waterloo Clerk/Treasurer’s office for the proper form to file.

DOG LICENSES:

Dog license and rabies inoculation are required for all dogs over 5 months of age.  Dog licenses are due on or before March 31, 2008.  Please enclose current rabies certificate.  After April 1st delinquent dog owners will be charged a $10.00 penalty.
